This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This Level 3 T Level course gives learners a comprehensive understanding of the Early Years sector (0–7 years), providing a balance between classroom learning and hands-on experience in both nursery and primary school settings. A wide range of experiences provides learners with valuable insight into a rewarding career within a sector that is always in demand. Tutors support learners to develop essential knowledge and practical skills that are required to work at a supervisory level. The course includes a core set of underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills tailored for the industry and occupation of choice, such as Safeguarding, Observing and Planning for Children’s Development and the Importance of Play. Industry and occupational specific content is delivered, as well as specialist content, which will ensure students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to enter employment. This qualification is the equivalent of up to 168 UCAS Points.
T Level in Education and Childcare
On the successful completion of the T Level. Students could progress to employment within an early years environment or apply for university courses in Early Years and Primary Teaching, HNC in Early Years, Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship or a Level 4 advanced practitioner qualification.

T-Levels are available for 16 to 19-year-old students. They are also available to students up to the age of 24 who have an education, health, or care plan.
Equivalent to 3 A Levels, the course meets industry requirements and offers a mixture of classroom learning and industry placement
The course contains an industry placement with an employer focused on developing the practical and technical skills required for the occupation. These will last a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days) but can last longer. Within the placement there will be an employer-set project
Assessments will be via external exams, controlled internal assessment and written assignments
