This is a one day introductory course into dog grooming and ideal for pet owners wanting to learn how to groom their own dog and also for those interested in dog grooming as a career. This is a practical course designed for candidates to gain valuable hands on experience. The course will cover the basics of dog grooming, including bathing, drying and styling as well as health checking techniques, nail clipping and ear cleaning. Candidates will be required to bring a suitable dog.
Candidates may be interested in attending the Pet First Aid 1 day course or progress onto other animal care courses on offer.
The course consists of four modules: Introduction to dog grooming * Health checks including nail clipping and ear cleaning * Grooming equipment * Bathing, drying and styling.
Duration: 1 day (Saturday) Venue: Holme Lacy College 10am to 4.30pm

On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded with a College Certificate of Attendance. This is a non-certified course.
