Over half-term, from the 25th to 31st of May, final-year students of the National School of Blacksmithing are once again travelling abroad to participate in an archaeological forgework project.
This year, nine students are flying to Nuremberg to work alongside Dr Boris Dreyer and Friedrich Alexander University researchers in the reconstruction of a 2nd-century chariot. The chariot, originally excavated in Croatia and as yet unpublished, is being reconstructed as a working object in order to test its capabilities.
