Crochet Garment Workshop

Join us for a fun and creative Crochet Garment Workshop designed to help you build the skills and confidence to make your own wearable pieces! In the sessions, you will learn the essentials of crochet garment construction, from understanding shaping, swatch making and fit.

We will start with a brief introduction to garment-making theory, discovering different crochet garment constructions before diving into our main project: the popular hexagon cardigan. Guided step-by-step, you will explore how two simple hexagons can be transformed into a stylish, customisable cardigan. You do not have to be an experienced crocheter to join us; if you can make a granny square, you can make this cardigan.

This workshop will provide practical tips, pattern guidance, and hands-on support. By the end, you will have made a strong start on your own hexagon cardigan and leave equipped with the knowledge, techniques, and inspiration to complete it at home with confidence.

You will need to bring:

– Yarn of your choice (you will need approximately 1000g per garment depending on yarn type and size you are making). Remember, the thicker the yarn, the more quickly your project will come together. Acrylic yarn is a great choice for this project. – A crochet hook you are comfortable working with and is suitable for your chosen yarn.

The tutor will supply the instructions.
