If there’s one thing that defines Jessica, it’s her love of learning. Whether she’s exploring philosophical ideas, teaching the intricacies of law, or taking on a new challenge herself, Jessica is always eager to expand her knowledge and inspire her students to do the same.
At Ludlow Sixth Form College, Jessica teaches A Level Law and Philosophy, Ethics and Religion. Her route into teaching was anything but ordinary. Before joining HLNSC, she worked as a Sociology teacher, taught English abroad, and even spent time working in youth custody! These varied experiences have given her a unique perspective that she brings into the classroom every day.
Jessica originally studied Sociology, with a particular focus on crime, before completing her PGCE in Religious Studies. By combining her academic background with her professional experiences, she has developed a dynamic and engaging approach to teaching both Law and Philosophy.
Outside of college, Jessica enjoys applying some of the principles she has learned through teaching Buddhism to her everyday life, helping her stay mindful and balanced. And true to her lifelong love of learning, she’s currently taking on a brand-new challenge: learning to play the drums!
Fun fact: Jessica once lived in China, giving her plenty of fascinating stories and experiences to share with students.
