The Hutchinson Partnership is a firm of chartered accountants established since 1998. The company is based just north of Hereford and have clients all over the country. They specialise in providing accountancy, taxation and business advisory services to agricultural and rural businesses.
The role:
From day one you will learn the skills you require to prepare accounts and eventually tax computations from data provided by clients. You will start with the basics and, as your skills grow, you will be introduced to new aspects and your responsibilities will increase. Your work will include data analysis, reconciliation, problem solving and checking it all makes sense.

Future prospects?
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to carry out further training at AAT or ACA/ACCA level. There are also ad hoc in house courses and external CPD courses available for qualified staff.
Reality check:
- The Hutchinson Partnership are in a slightly rural location, so the candidate would need to ensure they are able to get to and from the office each day.
