Larkholme Pet holidays is a boarding facility for Dogs and Cats. They are licensed to have up to 12 cats and 40 dogs at any one time. There has been a boarding Kennels on site for about 40 years and the current owners Clare and Bruce have been running it for just over 2 years. They place emphasis on time outside and time with people to make sure all animals have the best possible care at all times. They go the extra mile to anticipate needs for the animals in their care and ensure excellent customer service at all times. The family business is open all year round and provides an excellent pet boarding facility.
The role:
- Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Monitor the behaviour and health of animals and report any concerns to supervisors
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and brushing
- Assist with the intake and discharge of animals, including proper documentation
- Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service

- Basic animal handling and care
- Ability to clean cattery and kennels
- Ability to feed and follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Desired qualifications:
- Full driving license
- GCSE in English and Maths at grade 4/C is desirable
Reality check:
- You will be working in all weathers all year round
- You will be expected to work all months of the year including bank holidays, unless holiday has been booked/agreed
- The premises is in a rural location without access to public transport, therefore you will need to be able to drive
- You will also be expected to perform heavy lifting, as some animals may require assistance or restraint
