Orbital 10 is a national group of companies providing IT-related services. In Hereford, they provide IT equipment, printers, and ink to the public and businesses. Orbital 10 primarily operates as an IT Support Company / MSP (Manage Service Provider) providing remote and onsite support and services. They handle many calls and support tickets a day. Orbital 10 is a Disability Confident Employer and provides extra support for staff with learning difficulties like ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism.
As an Apprentice at Orbital 10, you will be an integral part of the customer service and support team. Your role will involve direct interaction with customers, both in-person and over the phone, ensuring their needs are met professionally and efficiently.
The role:
- Answering customer phone calls with a polite and professional demeanour.
- Raising support tickets and accurately assigning them to the appropriate tier for resolution.
- Serving customers in the shop.
- Understanding customer inquiries and providing accurate answers.
- Recommending the right products based on customer needs.
- Processing customer transactions efficiently.
Desired skills:
- Basic understanding of ICT.
Desired personal qualities:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Desired qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 and above, or Level 2 Functional Skills

- Orbital 10 offers daily instructor-led training to further your skills and knowledge within the ICT sector.
- Upon successful completion of your level 3 qualification, there may be the opportunity to move on to a level 4 apprenticeship and start to specialise in a field of your choice.
