The role:
As a maintenance technician apprentice, you will support the maintenance team with both reactive and planned maintenance throughout the 15-acre site in Ross-on-Wye.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planned & reactive maintenance of manufacturing lines
- Fault finding & corrective actions
- Supporting the engineering team
- Involvement in small-medium scale projects to develop & expand the newly appointed facility
- Routine test & calibration of line instrumentation

- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal

Desired qualifications:
- GCSE maths at grade 5/B or above
- GCSE English at grade 4/C or above
- At least one other GCSE at grade 4/C or above
Future prospects?
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, given that the individual is ready and has succeeded with the business, it would be the natural progression plan to go on and be a successful multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer and become an integral part of the Maintenance Team.
Reality check:
- The individual should be physically active and able to carry out various tasks including walking, climbing, standing etc. as needed.
- There may be some technician cover as skills advance which will involve some unsociable hours & weekend cover.
- The site is on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye with poor public transport links.
