Iām ready to enrol
If you are a new applicant to the College and have received an offer, you should have received your joining instructions by post. If you have not had these yet, please contact our student services on 01432 352235 or enquiries@hlnsc.ac.uk
If you are a late applicant and have not yet had an interview with a tutor, you will be invited to an event on either Wednesday, 27th August or Thursday, 28th August and should be able to enrol at the same time. Please keep an eye on your emails for your invitation.
When enrolling, please bring a paper copy of your exam results for our tutors to check. Please note that if you do not bring your grades, and you cannot show them electronically, we may not be able to confirm your place. We must see evidence of your grades before we can enrol you.
Please note: All 19+ learners will be required to bring documentation confirming your address e.g a driving license or utility bill. This can be shown as a hard copy or electronically.
To qualify for potential fee remission, the College needs to see evidence of your income. Please bring with you a recent payslip (from the last three months), a bank statement or evidence of any benefits you receive.Ā

Enrolled on a 2-year course
If you are a returning learner who has been enrolled onto a two-year course (A Levels, Access to HE, T Level, and some vocational courses), you will not be required to come into the College to enrol. Student Services will write out to you outlining your start date and any equipment you will require for the next academic year. All you need to do is turn up on your first day and you will be issued with your lanyard. Please make sure that your fees are up to date as per the letter you will receive. Staying at college within the same curriculum
You should have had an email to confirm your progression offer. If you are a returning learner, staying in college next year within the same curriculum, you will receive a letter outlining your start date. Please make sure you attend this first lesson. You will need to collect your lanyard.
Please note, the course you have been enrolled on is based on successfully passing this yearās course (24/25) and having the necessary GCSE maths and English grades required for the course. If you are not successful in meeting these requirements, there is a chance that we may need to look at an alternative programme of study for you. Please do not worry, the college will do everything within its power to support you and is committed to working with you to identify a course that suits your needs.

You have been invited to enrol face-to-face
If you are a returning learner and have decided to move to a different curriculum area, or if you have not been invited to a session on the 21st ā 26th of August, you will receive a letter inviting you to the main enrolment event. Ā This takes place on the 27th and/or 28th of August. If you cannot make your allocated slot please contact our student services team on 0800 0321986 or enquiries@hlnsc.ac.uk who will be able to look at an alternative slot for you. You will be issued with your timetable and lanyard at the main enrolment event.
Financial Support
If you previously accessed financial support or are planning to apply this year, the bursary portal is now live. You can access this by clicking HERE You will require your student number which can be found on your ID badge and formal letters from the College. Please ensure that you have this to hand when applying.
Information for part-time studentsĀ
Part-time enrolment will be on the first day of your course, which will take place w/c 8th September. You will be sent a letter shortly advising of dates/times and any appropriate fees.
Please note ā For some courses, additional materials fees may apply. Examination or membership fees may also need to be paid directly to the awarding bodies for industryārecognised qualifications. You will pay these fees after you enrol.

Safeguarding
HLNSC has a team of wellbeing and pastoral mentors (WPMs) who work across all five colleges. Outside of term times, all students have free unlimited access to Health Assured and Wisdom, the student assistance programme, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

I still need to apply
If you know what career you are interested in, search for a suitable course and apply online. We have limited spaces available in lots of different courses, starting from entry-level up to level 5. Whatever grades you achieve, weāre sure weāll have a suitable course for you.
I didnāt get the entry requirements
If your results are lower than expected, please donāt panic as we may still have a place for you. Please come along to your enrolment day as planned and the tutor will assess the most appropriate level for you to undertake. If an alternative level is not possible, we will work with you to explore other options available.
