Football News: TNS North Shropshire College take home the ECFA Men’s Senior Cup for the first time.
We are delighted to report on this outstanding achievement from TNS North Shropshire College’s Football team.
The ECFA Men’s National Premier Cup final took place on Thursday 2nd May. The match was against Bridgend College at Accrington Stanley’s The Wham Stadium.
After taking a 2-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes thanks to goals from Jake Morris and Rhys Tilsley, it proved to be a fairly comfortable evening for The Saints, but they did have to up their defence for the second half as the opposition came back fighting.
In the end, Cian McIntosh’s 69th minute goal proved to be the decisive one, as Simon Spender’s side went on to claim a 3-2 victory.
