About the course

An introductory Level 1 course covering the basic essential skills to become a professional chef and a pathway to further studies such as an apprenticeship or a career in the hospitality industry. You will also complete a period of industry work experience with an employer and take part in events and competitions which will enable you to gain valuable experience.

Entry requirements

A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 2, including English and maths or successful completion of a Foundation or Entry Level 3 qualification and good progress with English and maths.
