This course consists of two Level 4 modules from the Pearson HTQ in Modern Methods of Construction for England: Principles of Alternative Energy and the Construction Environment, aimed at those looking to learn more about the ever-changing construction sector, whilst also advancing the career prospects. With continual advancements taking place in the construction sector, specifically the use of low carbon technologies, there has never been a more important time to remain up-to-date with industry standards and emerging technologies, this module has been designed to facilitate this, whilst also exploring the history of the construction sector and the key professional roles.

The Government are funding up to 30 credits of study as part of the modular acceleration programme for 24/25. If you wish to continue onto the full HTQ, your already low HE study cost will be discounted by a further 25%!
Assessment takes place using a variety of methods including assignments, presentations, projects, and case studies. All students will receive regular feedback on their work and progress from their tutors. The qualification will be graded at pass, merit, and distinction.
We expect those studying this HTQ to ensure they have a Level 3 in a related subject, as well as GCSE maths and English at a Grade C/4 or above. We also welcome interest from mature students who may not have the formal qualifications expected, but experience in the related subject area.
