This is an exciting course that explores what leads people to commit crime, how it is investigated and how criminals are brought to justice. These are just some of the topics that are covered over a 10 week course that is structured to cover the main principles of criminology. This course is interest only (with a certificate of attendance), with no formal assessment. The purpose is to offer an insight into the criminal mind and criminology, building a foundation of learning which may lead onto other programmes at Herefordshire College.
Criminological theory: Why do people commit crime?
Serious crime: Murder, sex offences and organised crime; profiling offenders through recognised methods.
