Each half term will be a 5 -week course using a variety of subject matter and media; drawing watercolours, acrylics, pastels.

An art group for your enjoyment.

Key facts

By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following:

– Draw using coloured pencils

– Experiment with shading techniques using pencils

– Use pastels to paint a landscape

– Paint dancers using pastels

You will need: First session – pensils and cartridge paper, coloured penicils, watercolour paints, brushes and watercolour paper for later sessions. If you’re buying these and are in any doubt, the tutor can advise what you need. A drawing board and folder for storing artwork may be useful as you progress.

The Tutor will supply: Handouts will be provided as necessary. Pastel and watercolour paper will be available for you to buy if you’d like single sheets.

About the Tutor: Liz Doody is a professional Graphic Designer and illustrator who has been teaching Art and IT subjects for many years.
