About the course

Get ready to drive your career forward with this two-phase programme designed to prepare you for a successful future in the logistics and transport industry.

In Phase 1, you’ll take part in a four-week classroom-based course focused on the employability skills and professional behaviours valued by employers in the HGV and wider logistics sectors. During this stage, you’ll also complete your medical assessment, apply for your provisional HGV licence, and prepare for your theory test.

Phase 2 takes your learning on the road with expert practical driver training and testing for your Class 2, Category C HGV licence, giving you the qualifications and confidence to start your driving career – followed by a guaranteed interview with an employer.

Phase 2 focuses on driving, with your Class 2, Category C HGV licence awarded following successful practical testing and demonstration of safe vehicle operation, manoeuvring, and road safety skills.
