This course consists of two Level 4 modules from the HTQ in Electrical & Electronic Engineering for England: Production Engineering for Manufacture and Electrical Machines.
You will analyse the key materials, the types of machinery used and the different ways of organising production systems to optimise the production process. You will also develop the understanding to be able to select the most appropriate production processes for manufacturing products of different material types.
You will further develop your understanding of how electrical machines convert energy as well as developing your knowledge of the principles of operation of transformers, induction motors, synchronous machines, electromagnetic transducers, actuators, generators and three-phase induction motors and generators.
Module accreditation at Level 4 in Production Engineering for Manufacture and Electrical Machines (30 credits).
Completion of the remaining six modules on the HTQ in Electrical & Electronic Engineering for England is a typical progression route. Others may wish to progress onto our Higher National Diploma, another higher-level Engineering qualification, or simply progress into employment in the industry.
