This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This course is designed to further develop the practical skills and theoretical understanding of engineering in the modern world. The focus of this course is on the skills and understanding associated with modern engineering concepts and products, the materials associated with them and the techniques used to service, repair and manufacture them. You’ll further develop your skills in our fantastic workshops, using a range of specialist equipment, under the guidance of our expert staff, who have extensive industrial experience in the engineering sector.
Progression routes may include: HNC in Engineering or other university-level courses, apprenticeship in Engineering. Employment options may include engineering project manager or engineering design and manufacture.

GCSE grade 5 maths and grade 4 English plus minimum grade 4 in at least three other GCSEs including science, or a L2 qualification in a relevant subject area with at least a merit grade.
