This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This exciting NEW course focuses mainly on three vocational pathways: Sport & Leisure, Travel & Tourism and Retail & Customer Service. The way this course is structured, gives students a real flavour of each sector whilst enabling you to increase understanding through theory units and demonstrate skills in practical sessions.
L1 Vocational Studies offers lots of opportunities for off-site visits and practical assessments alongside tutorials, enrichment and English & Maths. As well as the vocational pathways you will also study core units in Employability embedded in each sector. This will provide valuable experience in developing those essential skills and attitudes employers will be looking for.
Gateway L1 Vocational Studies
Study options may include progression to a Level 1 or Level 2 course in a vocational area. Employment in unskilled jobs.
Sport & Leisure, Travel & Tourism and Retail & Customer Service
Assessment is through presentations, practical projects. There are no examination for vocational units.
