About the course

Pop over every Monday morning and have fun in the garden at Walford College, meet like-minded people, have a chat, a cup of tea and enjoy the satisfaction of growing your own vegetables and flowers in a relaxed environment. Over the duration of the course, we will cover fundamental gardening techniques such as soil preparation, planting, watering, and pest management. It will include hands-on activities like planting seeds or transplanting seedlings, pruning and taking cuttings.

Taking part in a community gardening course can offer many health and well-being benefits, both physical and mental including:
