About the course

This bootcamp programme is a flexible, practice-based course, which will prepare you entry onto either the Nursing Associate or Assistant Healthcare Practitioner apprenticeship. Through a variety of practical and theory-based sessions, participants will cover the fundamentals of becoming a healthcare worker including the 15 required standards for the Care Certificate. Completion of the bootcamp will increase confidence, knowledge and skills required for successful entry onto a range of healthcare apprenticeships, employment, further and higher-level education courses.

Students will have the opportunity to be interviewed for employment with Health and Social Care companies working in partnership with the college. Alternatively, support will be given for those who wish to apply for related apprenticeships or further and higher education courses to further their training within the sector.

Entry requirements

Face to face or telephone interview with the course tutor. Participants will need to demonstrate a keen interest in pursuing a career within the healthcare sector and have English Language Skills at a minimum of Level 1 or equivalent (This can be assessed on entry if required).
