This advanced Level 3 vocational course involves theoretical and practical study of computing and information technology. You will learn in a specialist information technology classroom with a dedicated range of hardware and software. The course includes reports, exams, practical and portfolio pieces representative of the workplace, whether working as a software or hardware-based specialist. This qualification is the equivalent of up to 168 UCAS Points.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in IT
Students have gone on to university courses such as computing, cyber security, and game development. Employment options include technical support, software developers and fraud analysts. Alternatively there are apprenticeships available within the computing field.
