Course Content
This introductory course is designed for the complete or near beginner who wishes to obtain basic skills in Italian and to experience learning a foreign language. The emphasis is on spoken language and on developing sufficient skills to be able to get by in simple everyday situations, such as:
- · Greetings
- · Ordering food and drinks
- · Travelling around
- · Booking accommodation
- · Using the telephone
- · General topics: weather, family, surroundings
Simple grammar and vocabulary will be acquired, and the course will include a limited focus on listening and reading skills. A recommended course book will be used as a background to the course and optional homework will be set after each class.
This course is for people who have very little or no previous knowledge of the chosen language. No formal entry requirements are required.
