In A level Law, you will learn about how the law and the court system work in England and develop an understanding of the role of Law in society today. You will raise your awareness of our rights and responsibilities as citizens. By learning about legal rules and how they apply to real life, you will develop legal skills such as forming legal arguments, analysing factual scenarios from a legal perspective, and assessing strengths, weaknesses and limitations of the law. You will also develop your analytical ability, decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills: all these skills are highly sought after by higher education providers and employers.
You could go on to a degree in Law or Criminology, or a legal apprenticeship, or seek employment in the criminal justice system via the prison service, National Probation Service, or National Offender Management Service.
