About the course

The Photovoltaic Systems Installer training course is designed for qualified Electricians who hold Inspection and testing qualifications and who wish to install PV Systems.

For a limited period, fees are discounted to £595 (standard fee £670). The fees shown are the standard cost for the course. However, various discounts/grants may be applied depending on personal circumstances. . Please contact via email on lcttc@hlnsc.ac.uk

Upon successful completion you will gain an industry accepted qualification which is also recognised by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). We aim to keep class sizes to under 8 so all learners get an opportunity to practice the skills and knowledge gained during the course prior to undertaking assessment.

The course is delivered over three days and covers: How a Photovoltaic System works, Principles and Components, Design, Installation, Commissioning, Client hand-over, Maintenance and Fault Finding on PV systems

Assessment methods

Assessments are open book multi-choice, written response questions and an observed practical.

Entry requirements

As a practicing Electrician you MUST hold a Level 3 Award in Initial Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations and current edition BS7671 Regulations qualification. You will need to provide proof of your achievements as part of the certification process. Stand-alone Technical certificates are NOT acceptable
