This course consists of two levelfour modules from the HTQ in Leadership and for England: Marketing Processes and Planning, and Digital Business in Practice. The programme and module content is designed for those wishing to learn how to develop digital skills, digitise their operations and processes, and the use of marketing to influence people to engage with their products and/or services. The Level 5 modules undertaken allow studentsto gain knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to the Occupational Standard (OS) for Operations or Departmental Manager.
Module accreditation at level 4 in Marketing Processes and Planning, and Digital Business in Practice (30 credits)
Continuation in completion of the remaining six modules on the HTQ in Leadership and Management for England is a typical progression route or simply progress within current or new employment in the industry.
The Level 5 Higher National Diploma is recognised by Higher Education providers as meeting admission requirements to many relevant business-related courses, for example:

The marketing module contains learning around the role of marketing and how it interrelates with other business units of an organisation, how organisations use elements of the marketing mix to achieve overall business objectives, how to produce a marketing plan for an organisation that meets marketing objectives, and how to develop a media plan to support a marketing campaign for an organisation.
Digital business content includes the digital business environment, emerging trends and contemporary approaches, the use of digital technologies to achieve business objectives, how to develop a transformational digital strategy plan to support the implementation of digital technologies within an organisation, and mobile applications to support a digital strategy within an organisation.
Timetable
Studied full-time over two and a half months, and students will engage in learning for 11 hours per week. Learning will take place mostly online, with some face-to-face provision on set dates. The timetable for September 2024 entry is yet to be confirmed, but will be communicated when available with those who express interest.

The Government are funding up to 30 credits of study as part of the modular acceleration programme for 24/25. If you wish to continue onto the full HTQ, your already low HE study cost will be discounted by a further 25%!
Assessment takes place using a variety of methods including; assignments, presentations, projects, and case studies. All students will receive regular feedback on their work and progress from their tutors. The qualification will be graded at pass, merit and distinction.
We expect those studying this HTQ to ensure they have a Level 3 in a related subject, as well as GCSE maths and English at a Grade C/4 or above. We welcome interest from mature students who may not have the formal qualifications expected, but a wealth of experience in related subject.
