If you would like to be involved in teaching in the lifelong learning sector then this course is for you. This short 4-day programme provides participants with an introduction to teaching in the lifelong learning sector. It is ideally suited to those who are new to teaching and wish to have a short taster of what a teaching role involves. This is the first qualification for teachers in the Further Education which is delivered in a supportive environment. It is an ideal start for those with experience in industry or learning support to take their first steps into teaching.

Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship
· Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and learning
· Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and
training

Short assignment based assessments.
A short micro teach in a subject of your choice to your peers and teachers
· No previous teaching experience is necessary
· Candidates need to have a Level 2 qualification in their vocational area
· Good literacy and numeracy skills (at least Level 1 in numeracy and Level 2 in literacy)
· If you are already teaching or intend to teach then a current DBS is essentia
