This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This practical 3 day course is designed for candidates who want to gain a recognised qualification in welding. This course is for professional welders who want a recognised qualification and upgrade their skills.
It gives candidates the chance to use the extensive workshop facilities at Holme Lacy College’s Rural Crafts Centre and to draw on the knowledge of expert tutors to develop and consolidate welding skills. Candidates work at their own pace to develop skills in either: Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA); Metal Inert GasWelding (MIG); Oxy-Acetylene Welding or Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding.
PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS NOT A COMBINATION OF ALL THREE.
