This course aims to provide you with the skills and methods employed in basic carpentry such as:
Tools and their usage
Basic joints
Fitting and fixing mouldings and hinges and hinging techniques
Locks, latches and letter plates
Fitting door handles
Scribing to irregular surfaces
You will need:
Protective clothing and footwear
(Equipment will be provided)
You may choose to enrol on one of the part-time carpentry and joinery courses at this college.
Dates: 28th January to 25th March 2025 (no class on 18th February)
Times: Tuesday evenings, 6.00 to 8.30pm

Cost: Tuition £210 + Material £90 = £300
No formal entry requirements although an interest or a project in mind for you to use your new-found skills would be required to get the most from this hands-on course.
