What will the apprentice be doing?
- Create and maintain Event Banqueting Orders, ensuring that all aspects of the event are covered
- Work alongside the Events Manager to ensure that the club calendar is maintained and updated
- Communicate with event customers to ensure that all details of the event are confirmed and finalised
- Provide clear management and direction to staff members on the day of an event, alongside exceptional customer service to the customer
- Provide correct pricing structure to finance to ensure that events are invoiced correctly
- Maintain an events database to ensure that events are paid for
- Provide support to our Events Manager for our hospitality days
- Liaise and negotiate with the Operations Team and external suppliers to ensure all requirements of bookings are met, to the highest possible standard
- Communicate with travelling rugby away sides to invite them to hospitality lunches
- Assist the Events Manager in the advertising of non-rugby events, such as Christmas Parties and Private Events
- Create and develop adverts for Mortimer Park, advertising the venue and its benefits
- Assist the Events Manager and Clubhouse Manager in logistical planning for large events such as Festivals
- Provide support to the Events Manager for advertising large festivals and events held at Mortimer Park
- Assist in the event review process to ensure that feedback is collected and logged
- Provide support to the club’s Operations Team such as administrative duties
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Work based training with an online portfolio to support evidence. Regular meetings and reviews with the assessor to ensure progress is made. Off the job training is required. This gives the apprentice the opportunity to develop their knowledge further.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
A full time position will be available upon completion of the apprenticeship for the right applicant.
