Charlie Webb

Former Ludlow Sixth Form College student, Charlie Webb, achieves notable success. Lord Mansfield Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Charlie studied at Ludlow SFC from September 2020 to June 2022 and achieved superb A Level results: Grade A* in A Level Law, Grade A in Geography and Sociology.

Charlie progressed in September 2022 to Cardiff University to study (LLB) Law. He is now in the final stages of his Law degree, having achieved notable success in years one and two.

His scholarly achievements include being awarded the ‘Cecil Fifoot Prize’ for achieving the highest grade for an undergraduate in the Tort Law module during his second year. Charlie has secured notable victories in prestigious advocacy competitions across England and Wales, including recently being crowned ‘Advocate of the Year 24/25’ in a final held at the Old Bailey in London. He has also won the ‘Wales Mooting Competition’ and the ‘Cardiff University Third-Year Mooting Competition,’ evidencing his clear success alongside academia.

Charlie’s distinguished academic record in hand with his robust portfolio of legal skills and experiences, active involvement in pro bono work, engagement in legal societies and part-time employment, stands him in good stead for the pursuit of a career as a barrister specialising in criminal and family law.

Barristers are typically most well-known for wearing wigs and gowns and presenting legal arguments in court. Becoming a barrister and joining the Bar is a rigorous process. Charlie has proven his commitment to a career at the Bar through the completion of mini-pupillages and frequent visits to court in his free time.
