Turing Scheme: Transforming Futures Through Global Experiences
Students from Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College have once again demonstrated the life-changing impact of international learning through the Turing Scheme.
Last year, students travelled to Thailand and Nepal, taking part in meaningful projects that enabled them to immerse themselves in different cultures, support local communities and develop valuable personal and professional skills. Their experiences helped them build confidence, resilience, communication and leadership skills while broadening their understanding of the world around them.
The feedback speaks for itself. Every participant described the programme as a life-changing opportunity, with many reporting increased confidence, adaptability and cultural awareness. Students also highlighted how the experience influenced their future ambitions, inspired them to travel with purpose and strengthened their commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Through opportunities like the Turing Scheme, our students gain far more than travel experience. They return with new perspectives, lasting friendships and the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly global society. Students who are currently studying with HLNSC will soon hear more about applying for this year’s Turing programme, which will see trips taking place to Thailand and India.
