Ludlow Sixth Form College Celebrates Student Success at Presentation Evening

Ludlow Sixth Form College welcomed students, families, staff and distinguished guests to its annual Presentation Evening on Thursday 10 September, celebrating the achievements, dedication and success of learners across a wide range of subjects and disciplines.

The evening provided an opportunity to recognise outstanding academic performance, personal development, leadership, community involvement and contributions to college life. Guests were welcomed by Linda Randall, Head of Ludlow Sixth Form College, while special guest speaker Julianna Watts shared words of inspiration with award recipients and attendees.

Awards were presented across Health, Sport and Science, Art and Humanities, as well as a range of sponsored prizes and special college awards. Students were recognised for their achievements in subjects including Mathematics, Computer Science, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Fine Art, Geography, Film Studies, Politics, Economics and Modern Foreign Languages.

Throughout the evening, a number of prestigious prizes were awarded, acknowledging not only academic excellence but also determination, character, entrepreneurship, leadership and service to both the college and wider community. Sponsored awards were generously supported by local organisations and individuals, reflecting the strong links between the college and the communities it serves.

Particular highlights included the presentation of the Principal’s Prizes for Outstanding Achievement at A Level, the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Ludlow Town Council Prize for Leadership and Citizenship, and the Windsor Gift for Services to the College.

The celebration concluded with the presentation of the Caitlin Hurcombe Kickstart Award and closing remarks from Linda Randall, who congratulated all award winners and thanked families, staff and sponsors for their continued support.

The evening showcased the exceptional talent, commitment and ambition of Ludlow Sixth Form College students and highlighted the positive impact they make both within the college and in the wider community. As students continue their educational and career journeys, the awards serve as recognition of their hard work and a celebration of everything they have achieved.
