This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. You will develop the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours to help you take a step closer to working in the industry or further progression. You will gain knowledge in the basics of animal health, husbandry, welfare, behaviour and biology and will develop industry skills and behaviours.
City and Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate in Animal Care
City & Guilds Level 3 Technical Diploma in Animal Management or equivalent qualifications. Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeships. Employment options may include animal care technician, assistant kennels or cattery technician, zoological collections assistant.
