About the HTQ Community Coaching Course

The Higher National Certificate (HNC) Level 4 in Community Coaching is a comprehensive program designed to equip aspiring sports coaches with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field. This course covers a wide range of topics, including sports and exercise science, coaching theories, and the psychological principles that support effective coaching.

Recognised by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), this qualification ensures that you are well-prepared and confident as you enter the industry.

Entry Requirements and Costs

You will need a Level 3 qualification in a related subject and GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above. Mature students with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
The full cost of the course is £5,995, but with the current offer of the first two units for free, this year’s students will only pay £4,995. Student finance options are available to help manage the cost.

Completing this course will open the doors to a variety of career paths, including roles as a Youth Development Coach, Governing Body Coach, Sports Club Coach, or positions within Sport England and other community initiatives.
